What started as an idea to save the House of Grimaldi from going bankrupt, turned into one of the world’s most beautiful and intriguing casinos. Locals are forbidden from entering the Casino de Monte-Carlo, which was opened in 1863, and to enforce the rule, ID is checked at the door.
