Four Recommended Poker Tournaments To Play In
You can’t have too many poker tournaments. But with all the choices available at Bodog Poker, figuring out which tournaments to play can be a bit tricky – even after you’ve narrowed down your choices to fit your bankroll and whichever games (Texas Hold’em, Omaha, or Omaha Hi/Lo) you’re best at. Here, for your discretion, are four highly recommended poker tournaments you can play at Bodog.
Lower Buy-Ins
1- $8,000 Guaranteed (10K Chips, 10-Minute Levels)
This no-limit Hold’em tourney runs every night at 8:45 PM ET, with a buy-in of just $11. You get 10,000 chips to start with, so you should have plenty of room to make all those big preflop moves before you get into push-shove territory.
2- $4,000 Guaranteed (10K Chips, 10-Minute Levels)
The structure is the same, but Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo is the game. For a buy-in of $33, you get to play with four cards instead of two, every night at 9:05 PM ET. The fields are smaller for these PLO tournaments, so it should be easier to navigate your way to the top. You can also satellite your way into this event by playing the $4K Qualifier turbo at 7:10 PM for just $5.50, with 10 guaranteed seats up for grabs.
Higher Buy-Ins
Moving up to the $55 buy-in level, we have a Super Stack NLHE tournament, meaning you start with 5,000 chips. The blinds go up every 12 minutes instead of 10, so once again, there will be room for 3-betting and 4-betting preflop in the early stages. You can play this tournament every night (except Sundays) at 8 PM ET, and for a buy-in of $7.70, you can win one of 25 guaranteed seats through the $25K Qualifier turbo at 6:10 PM.
This is the Sunday major everyone’s talking about. Six figures in guaranteed prize money is on the line every week at 4 PM ET; it’s NLHE, the Cadillac of Poker, with a $162 buy-in, 10,000 chips in your starting stack and 12-minute levels. If that’s too big for your bankroll, enter one of our daily $100K Cheap Seats qualifiers and satellite your way in for as little as $1. These qualifiers are fun, they’re fast, and they can deliver a solid return if you make the right adjustments at the table.
